New BLIng in the lab

October 10, 2018

Many (many) thanks to our Program Officer Mike Sesma at the NIGMS for funding our request for an Octet RED96e Biolayer Interferometry (BLI) Instrument from PALL ForteBio! This instrument will allow us to compare binding affinities of clock proteins and their mutants with much higher throughput (and with less sample!) to better understand the molecular basis for circadian rhythms.  The before and after shots above are quite dramatic -- many thanks to our friend Jennifer Codding-Bui at PALL ForteBio for turning around the fastest installation and training I've ever seen. We are now ready to bring the BLIng on!
